Provincial Issues In June, Nova Scotians elected a majority NDP government for the first time in our history. The election was about change above all else. Halifax Chebucto is now represented by a member on the government side of the house. The NDP's Better Deal 2009 seeks to improve the lives of ordinary Nova Scotians with practical commitments intended to make life more affordable, to allow the Provincial Government to live within its means and to bring greater transparency to the way government governs.
